Dr Nigel Rayner MB ChB MRCGP FRNZCGP MSc

Nigel did his medical training in Leicester, qualifying in 1990. He then moved to Cornwall in 1991 where he did his GP post graduate training. Nigel was a GP partner at Newquay Health Centre until April 2016 when he left to pursue a full time career in Sports and Exercise Medicine. He set up the Musculoskeletal Interface Service in Cornwall in 2009 and continues to work in this service. Nigel has a number of roles in the sporting world. He is the Cornish Pirates Team Doctor and has held that role since 2011. He is currently employed by the Welsh Football Association looking after their Women’s teams. Nigel also works with GB Mens Hockey and in the past has spent 12 months working for England Rugby looking after their age group pathway. Nigel also covers the Southwest Regional BMX race series.
