Lucy Stewart

Lucy Stewart  BTec Professional Diploma Level 5 in Remedial Soft Tissue Therapy, MCNHC, MISRM, MCThA
Lucy qualified as a masseur in 2007, gaining a distinction in her Level 3 diploma in Holistic Massage. She then chose to specialise in sports massage therapy and qualified with a level 3 diploma in 2008. Lucy has continued her professional development whilst building her own practice, attending courses on advanced massage techniques, one of which was with Mel Cash at the London School of Sports Massage, as well as a course on Thermo-geo Massage.

She is soon to complete her BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Sports & Remedial Massage, accredited by the Institute of Sport and Remedial Massage. As part of the course Lucy has attended 7, Level 5 weekend courses (listed below) which have given her the understanding of anatomy and wealth of different techniques which she uses to assess and treat you effectively.

Lucy has also attended a cadaver course in London looking at common shoulder girdle and hip joint injuries.

‘Having all this excellent training has made me work in a different way, visualising what is going on / wrong with the soft tissues beneath the client’s skin. Remedial massage is a bit like detective work, the muscle giving the pain may not be the muscle which has caused the problem and I use a range of techniques to gradually release muscles and track down the real culprit.’

Lucy works with a range of clients from the elderly with mobility issues to elite athletes and has a real interest in sports massage, she has been the massage therapist for the One and All Cycling Academy for the last 3 years, volunteering her time to help the young cyclists who compete nationally and internationally.

Lucy’s qualifications:
