Founded in 2010, Oliver Hughes Physiotherapy Clinics, soon to be rebranded as @OHP Clinics, is an independent, private healthcare clinic in Cornwall. We have grown from a physiotherapy clinic that specialises in all musculoskeletal issues, sports injuries and rehabilitation, to a hub for a number of different specialist healthcare services. Our core physiotherapy services include treatment of back and neck pain, treatment of peripheral joint issues such as hip, knee and shoulder pain, and post-operative rehabilitation. We have recruited a number of practitioners with different clinical specialisms to ensure we can offer our clients the most expert care in the region for their issue. Our scope of practice goes beyond Physiotherapy and we offer diagnostic ultrasound scans and guided injections with a highly experienced sports medicine doctor, and we offer Paediatric Orthopaedic consultations with Cornwall’s only Specialist Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon.

 

Treatment @OHP Clinics places great emphasis on education, helping patients to understand the root causes of their symptoms and empowering them with the knowledge and the tools to help them relieve pain and restore optimal function. We are a ‘hands on’ physiotherapy clinic where we need to be, and also expert in exercise prescription and the design of conditioning programmes. We work closely with the local medical fraternity as well as allied professionals such as podiatrists, sports psychologists, nutritionists and massage therapists to ensure we are ideally placed to offer a truly holistic approach to injury management. The hub of our operations is in the Newham district of Truro. We have recently moved to our new bespoke built clinic which boasts 3 treatment rooms and an exercise studio. Additionally we run a weekly physiotherapy clinic from St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula. Our central location in the county enables us to offer much of the population of Cornwall a convenient place to be accurately diagnosed, expertly treated and closely guided through their rehabilitation programmes.
